Disability Services (DS)

TUC is committed to providing students with disabilities the accommodations and support they need to thrive.

Our services ensure all students have equitable access to their academic programs & resources.

To begin the accommodation process, please reach out to our Disability Services team at tuc.accommodations@touro.edu or apply in AIM directly.

ACCOMMODATION PROCESS DETAILS:

Application

Students must apply for accommodations in AIM. The application contains specific information regarding the documentation that is required. Please reach out to DS for any questions or if you would like assistance completing the application.

Review and Intake by DS

Once you submit your application, it will be reviewed by DS. You will also be contacted for an intake meeting to further discuss your needs and review any questions DS may have. If necessary, DS will also meet with your program to ensure they can provide the accommodations you are seeking.

Granting of Accommodations

Following the intake meeting, DS will convene and approve the accommodation(s) they deem most appropriate. You will be notified once a decision has been made.

Faculty Notification

The accommodations you have been approved for will be communicated to your program so they can provide them for you.

KEY CONSIDERATIONS

Any TUC student is eligible to apply for accommodations, but submission of an application does not guarantee automatic approval of the accommodations the student is seeking.

Students can apply for accommodations at any time during their academic program. However, it is strongly advised that students submit their application and all documentation well in advance.

Every application will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis to determine if the student is eligible for accommodations and if the student's program can provide those accommodations.
