Touro CARES MVP stands for Child and Adult Resource Education and Support Mobile Vaccination Program and is a grant-funded program run by Touro University California in partnership with Solano County Public Health, Partnership Health Plan of CA, Kaiser Permanente, Mobile Diabetes Education Center, and Sutter Healthcare. Our community Partners are Solano County School Districts, churches, and other organizations in Solano County area. Our clinics are primarily staffed by students, faculty members, and our community partners.

OUR MISSION

Together, we made it our mission to protect our community through immunization, partnerships, and education.

THE VACCINE AMBASSADORS PROGRAM

we created the Ambassador program to streamline our efforts. The Ambassadors are a group of highly trained student liaisons from the various clinical programs at Touro University, including DO, PharmD, and PA candidates. They serve as peer leaders and mentors to other student volunteers from all different TUC disciplines and undergo special training to be able to answer clinical vaccination-related questions. They are also cross-trained in every clinic station so that they can adapt to individual clinic demands. Many of our Ambassadors are also bilingual, which greatly reduces language barriers with our diverse patient population.
