About Us

The Touro California Dermatology Interest Group (DIG) is committed to providing volunteering, networking, and research opportunities to medical students interested in a career in dermatology. Currently, there is a lack of medical education in skin of color and most research studies are done on mostly white and fair skin patients. We are dedicated to diversity and education regarding all skin and focusing especially skin of color, skin of sexual and gender minorities, and the intersectionalities between these underrepresented groups.
