Happy LGBTQIA+ Pride Month!

The the first (of many!) TUC Peer Community Wellness Program: Safe Zone Training Sessions! Space is limited for this first session but there will be more sessions in the near future!

Participants who successfully complete Safe Zone training will receive a $25.00 gift card and a TUC Community Wellness Program Micro-credential.

ABOUT:

Safe Zone Training is a 2-hour interactive workshop for LGBTQIA+ education and allyship.

WHO:

A group of TUC Peer Educators have been working diligently to provide the TUC campus community with an engaging and educational workshop that discusses things like intersectionality, common LGBTQIA+ terms, and best practices for allyship.

* Closer to the training, you will receive an email with a Zoom link and access to the pre-session materials.

In recognition of SAAM, Rainbow Health Coalition and the TUC DEI Office will be holding an LGBTQIA+ affirming healing circle intended for survivors and those affected by SA to collectively release feelings of grief and invite practices of joy through building community.

The Healing Circle will take place on Monday, August 25th, 5PM over Zoom.

Is hosting an exciting event, "Fatphobia and Medicine" with Virgie Tovar, a renowned body positivity activist, author, and podcaster! They hope this event will engage students and faculty from all Touro colleges on the important topic of weight bias in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.

Join the club live on April 13, 6-7 pm
where we will be discussing Virgie's experience with fatphobia in medicine and strategies we can all adopt to overcome weight bias and ensure productive patient-centered interactions!

A Raffle prize will be held at the end for an Air Fryer! All are welcome to attend.
