The Vallejo Unified School District (VCUSD) Student Health Center is lovingly known as "Peds Clinic." Peds Clinic is a joint venture between Touro University and Vallejo City Unified School District to have students help out at the on-campus pediatric clinic based in Elsa Widenmann elementary school.
Students who choose this site will have the opportunity to work with a pediatrician or a nurse practitioner to see uninsured children from 1 year to 18 years of age. The students may have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the visits including taking vital signs, obtaining medical histories, performing physical exams, and giving vaccinations.
