EMERGENCY MEDICINE INTEREST GROUP

OUR MISSION

Emergency Medicine Interest Group (EMIG) is a student-run organization dedicated to fostering interest in the practice of Emergency Medicine. The mission of EMIG is to introduce medical students to the field of emergency medicine through skills labs, interactive case workshops, sim labs, and guest speakers. Our goal is to provide learning opportunities in the field of Emergency Medicine, create relationships with local emergency physicians, engage alumni, as well as to provide information and guidance to students interested in pursuing a career in Emergency Medicine.

BAY AREA EMIG SYMPOSIUM

EMIG has hosted 5 annual Bay Area EMIG Symposiums welcoming medical, nursing, physician assistant, pharmacy, and pre-medical students to TUCOM campus to learn more about Emergency Medicine. Participants are provided the opportunity to develop skills in an action-packed day filled with physician guest speakers, a career panel, EM simulations, and a variety of hands-on skills workshops on topics like wilderness medicine, bleeding control, suturing, intubation, vascular access, OMM in the ED, and many more.
